Catholic Health Initiatives and the board of directors of CHI Trinity Health System have named Matt Grimshaw as market chief executive officer of the CHI Trinity system.  Grimshaw will join CHI Trinity on July 31, 2017.

Currently, Grimshaw, 42, is west region president of CHI St. Alexius Health, Williston, ND, where he is responsible for four critical access hospitals and five clinic locations across western North Dakota. They are all part of CHI St. Alexius Health, a regional health system with seven hospitals and multiple clinics serving central and western North Dakota, northern South Dakota, and eastern Montana.

Larry Schumacher, senior vice president of operations for Catholic Health Initiatives, said the CHI Trinity board of directors made an excellent choice in appointing Grimshaw as market CEO. “Matt has a proven record of leadership, a solid health care operations background and accomplishments in a variety of complex settings. We are confident that Matt has the experience and ability to lead CHI Trinity to new heights of service and performance as he builds relationships with our management team, the medical staff, employees, volunteers and the community,” Schumacher said.

Grimshaw said he is looking forward to his new role. “I am truly excited about the opportunity to join CHI Trinity Health System. This organization is known far and wide for its reputation of award-winning clinical excellence, dedicated associates, medical staff and volunteers, and outstanding service to its community.  I look forward to continuing the innovation for which CHI Trinity is known as we strive to enhance our services and improve the health of those we serve,” he said.
