Trinity & Jefferson Behavioral Health Partnering

Representatives of Trinity Health System and Jefferson Behavioral Health System have announced a new partnership that will improve the mental health and substance abuse services available to the local community.

Joann Mulrooney, Trinity COO, said, "Both health systems agreed to this partnership that will provide a community-based behavioral health service for our region."

Jefferson Behavioral Health System will be moving to the Trinity Medical Center East campus in the near future. This will result in a more modern and efficient facility for both the staff and its 3,600 clients. In addition to the improved facilities, the blending of the services will greatly enhance the number and quality of services.

Anthony Sheposh, JBHS CEO, said, "We are excited about this partnership because the joining together of two quality services will provide a much improved service line and improve the outcomes for people in need. This partnership will ensure that the relationship between JBHS and THS will result in an increase of services being offered by both entities to the community and beyond. This partnership will further establish us as the premier behavioral health and addiction services provider in the Upper Ohio Valley."

Both organizations believe this partnership is an excellent opportunity to thrive and grow in the future.

Trinity Director of Behavioral Medicine Don Ogden said, "Behavioral medicine is a big part of the holistic care we provide at Trinity. Through this partnership, we will be able to assist our local community with medical and behavioral health treatment. The advantages to the community will be tremendous."
