Images Mammography Center Providing Free Educational Materials During National Women's Health Week

May 8, 2015 2:48 p.m.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Office on Women’s Health is celebrating National Women’s Health Week from Sunday, May 9, (Mother's Day) through Saturday, May 16.

The staff at Images Mammography Center, part of Trinity Health System, will be providing healthy snacks and informational handouts about breast health to patients seen during Women's Health Week.

Some of the steps a woman can take to be healthy include getting a physical exam by a primary care physician at least once a year, having recommended preventive screenings such as an annual mammogram, exercising regularly, eating a balanced diet, getting adequate sleep, managing stress, and avoiding unhealthy behaviors such as smoking.

It is imperative that women take time for their own well-being; after all, women cannot take care of their loved ones if they do not take care of themselves first.
