Trinity Health System along with Prime Time Office on Aging, The Herald Star, WTOV 9, Lamar, 106.3 The River, and Mended Hearts are once again sponsoring HEARTLAND 2012 at Fort Steuben Mall on Thursday, February 16, 2012 from 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM.. Designed as the "Largest Heart Risk Appraisal Under One Roof," the event marks its eighteenth year according to Keith Murdock, Trinity's Director of Community Relations & Development," Trinity Health System is offering this program to help community members improve their health through screenings and information. Last year's attendance was tremendous and we hope everyone attends again this year."
This year's event will include the Community Blood Analysis which tests participant's blood for over 30 different screens. "Our screening has been well attended for seventeen years and we expect another large crowd." Murdock stated.
Several Trinity Health System service personnel will be on hand to discuss their services and provide screenings in conjunction with the screenings offered by Trinity Health System. These interactive displays will be manned from 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM.
Cost of the Blood Screening is $35.00.
Over 25,000 area residents have participated in the event over the years and organizers expect 1,500 participants again this year.
