Officials at Trinity Health System have announced the opening of an Urgent Care facility in Wintersville , Ohio . Trinity ExpressCare will provide medical care including X-rays, lab testing and timely medical care on a walk-in basis. The new center will be available in the former Hollywood Video store in the Reisbeck's plaza on Main Street in Wintersville.

According to Keith Murdock, Trinity Spokesman, "Trinity Health System has seen the need for high quality urgent care and is committed to providing the very best medical care for the residents of the Upper Ohio Valley . As the premier healthcare provider in the area, Trinity will offer treatment with physicians staffing the center."

Urgent care was introduced a number of years ago and has gained popularity due to the need for those situations that call for immediate medical intervention, but not necessarily an emergency. Many of these facilities utilize providers other than physicians. "Our center will be staffed by physicians, which is unique to the local area," Murdock added.

Some of the urgent situations that will be treated in the new center include: sprains and strains, respiratory illnesses, cuts, flu symptoms, vaccines and general health issues.

The center will accept most major insurances, cash, checks and credit cards and will be open seven days a week.
