Rehabilitation Services - Speech Pathology
Our Speech Pathology Department is equipped to render a broad
spectrum of diagnostic and rehabilitative services to children,
adolescents and adults with disorders associated with:
- Decreased cognitive skills
- Aphasia
- Apraxia
- Dysarthria
- Voice
- Delayed speech and language
We also specialize in diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
for patients with swallowing disorders including:
- Clinical evaluations
- Video fluoroscopic evaluation
- Management
A comprehensive, individualized program of foreign accent reductions
is available to foreign speakers of English.
Pre- and post-operative laryngectomy counseling and therapy are
available to patients and their families regarding:
- Instrumental speech
- Esophageal speech
- Tracheoesophageal puncture speech
Credentials:
Our speech pathologists have Masters degrees, are certified by the
American Speech-Language and Hearing Association and are licensed
by the state of Ohio.
