Grandcare
at Trinity Medical Center West is the next best thing to grandma's
arms when a child is sick. Work schedules or plans can be disrupted
and usually cancelled due to a lack of qualified child care programs
for sick children.
Children from six weeks to sixteen years of age are welcome and
the service is available 24 hours a day and seven days a week. Only
children suffering from chicken pox, or physically and emotionally
handicapped are excluded.
All services such as isolation and prescribed therapies are available.
Members of the Pediatric Department Nursing Staff are in charge
of care. Meals and snacks are included.
Parents or guardians are responsible for supplying any medications,
and other necessities such as diapers, clothing or favorite toys.
Emergency situations or any worsening of the child's condition will
be dealt with using the best medical judgment and according to special
consent given by the parent or guardian.
Enrollment can take place at any time. Prior notice is suggested
but not mandatory.
