Emergency Services

The
Emergency Services of Trinity Health System are available at Trinity
Medical Center West. The Trinity Medical Center West Emergency Department
has been remodeled and expanded to accommodate patients requiring
treatment.
- The Emergency Department has doubled in size
- Twice as many treatment beds are now available
- A dedicated X-ray room has been constructed adjacent to the
Emergency Department
- Physician, professional, and support staff have been added to
provide care for patients
- Special treatment areas have been constructed for:
- Cardiac emergencies
- Trauma
- Pediatric emergencies
- Obstetrical emergencies
- Suturing (stitches)
- Fractures
A list of services (located
below) provides an at-a-glance list of services available at
both locations. This list is not comprehensive, but should serve
as a basic guide for selecting the proper site for treatment.
Local residents should familiarize themselves with these services,
so, in an emergency, they can access emergency and urgent care services

Trinity Medical Center West Emergency Department
- 24 hours/ 7 days per week
- All levels of Emergency and Urgent Care including:
- Cardiac emergencies
- Chest Pain Center
- Trauma
- Acute Respiratory emergencies
- Fractures
- Suturing
Medical Emergencies including, but not limited to:
- Acute appendicitis
- Acute Abdominal pain
- Chest Pain
- Gall Bladder Attacks
- Cerebral Aneurysms
- Unexplained bleeding or severe pain
- Pediatric Emergencies
Obstetrical Emergencies and Childbirth
- 24 hours/7 days per week
- Patients should phone the Women's Health & Birth Center at
264-8040
prior to leaving home
- Accessing the local EMS Squad through Jefferson County's 911
System is recommended in any emergency
