Prostate

There's something you should know about prostate health. Regular check-ups, including a digital rectal examination and PSA blood test are basic to your well-being. Trinity Health System cares about your well being and offers free prostate screenings annually to the community which are conducted by local urologists.

The American Cancer Society and the American Urologist Association recommends that every man age 40 and older have a digital rectal examination, and healthy men age 50 and older have a digital rectal examination and an PSA blood test every year. Men with family history of prostate cancer and African-American men are at higher risk for prostate cancer. They should have both tests every year starting at age 40.
