Programs & Services
Prime Time
Trinity
Health System, the parent corporation of Trinity Medical Center
East, offers a unique program to assist our friends aged 60 and
over, or handicapped of any age, to get the most from their lives.
The Prime Time Program brings you a variety of services that include
health promotional activities, informational programs, senior exercise
programs and individualized health maintenance programs.
Prime Time membership includes discounts in the Medical Center
cafeteria... discounts on disposable medical items and pharmaceutical
supplies at Ross Park Pharmacy... free parking (up to four hours)
in the Medical Center's parking garage... and, perhaps most importantly,
a free transportation service.
The Prime Time Van, purchased with funds made available through
a Specialized Transportation Grant from the Ohio Department of Transportation,
makes free transportation to and from Trinity Medical Center East
and the Ross Park Professional Building available for persons needing
outpatient testing or treatment, outpatient surgery and routine
inpatient admission.
A private lounge-bathroom area has been established on the second
floor of Trinity Medical Center East. This Prime Time Lounge has
been furnished by the Holly Twig of the Woman's Advisory Board and
includes comfortable seating for relaxing or reading.
A Prime Time Center is operational in the recently renovated Fort
Steuben Hotel. In addition, prime Time offers Outreach Sites at
numerous areas including Calabrese Towers, Gaylord Towers, the J.F.K.
Building, the Elmer White Apartments, Indian Village and the Fort
Steuben Mall. Various health screenings and health promotional programs
are presented at these sites under the direction of the Prime Time
Outreach Coordinator.
In addition, the Trinity Medical Center East is a member of Voluntary
Hospitals of America (VHA) - a national network of over 750 not-for-profit
hospitals.
In September, 1988, Prime Time assumed the functions of the County
Office on Aging. As a result, information and referral in relation
to community support services, a telephone reassurance system, basic
health screenings, a friendly visitor program, legal services through
local attorneys, and various education programs are provided
by funding from the Ohio Department of Aging through the Area Agency
on Aging, region 9.
Prime Time... a concept that's come of age!
