TRINITY GOT SMALLER

Employees at Trinity Health System participated in a twelve week weight loss challenge sponsored by the WOW Team. Seventy-seven four person teams began this competition with a grand prize of over $3,000. In addition to creating healthier lifestyles for the employees, the competition also had great results for local food banks. Trinity entered into a pool with Pound for Pound Challenge, a national charitable group, who donated fourteen cents to twelve local food banks for every pound lost by Trinity employees. Employees lost 2,134.7 pounds in twelve weeks, bringing the total financial donation to nearly $3,000. The winning team, Cardiac Kids, won the grand prize by losing a total of 115.4 pounds which was 14.18% of the team's body weight at the beginning of the competition.
